What is a social cause?

A social cause is a movement or issue that seeks to bring awareness and change to an aspect of society that is seen as unfair or unjust. Social causes can range from human rights issues such as gender equality, racial justice, and LGBTQ+ rights, to environmental concerns like climate change and conservation efforts. These causes are often championed by organizations, non-profit groups, and activists who use various forms of engagement to raise awareness and bring about change. Social causes can arise from grassroots movements or be taken up by larger organizations or governments to bring about policy or societal change. The goal of social causes is to create a more equitable and just society.
